Gaspra is a resort settlement of South Crimea. It is located 12 km westwards from Yalta. Gaspra is one of the best resorts of South Crimea. Mountain range Ai-Petri hides it thoroughly from nasty weather and strong winds. Swimming season in Gaspra lasts till late October. Guszuf is an urban community and climatic resort. It is situated 11 km to the east of Yalta. Mountain semicircle of 1 500 m height secures Gurzuf from the cold winds blowing from the north. There is Ayu-Dag Mountain on the East and cape Martyan on the west. All beaches of Guzuf are natural pebbly. Don’t miss a chance to visit a wonderful Gruruf Park when you have rest in Gurzuf. The park was founded in 1803, 10 years earlier than the famous Nikita Botanic Garden. Exotic south plants are growing on a small lot (12 hectares) of rocky land. There are many fountains in the park. An impressive fountain singles out by its mystic beauty. The fountain Night is a sculpture copy of German artist, Bergner. The park hosts sculptures of many outstanding poets, writers and well-known people: Adam Mitskevich, Leciya Ukrainka, Fyodor Shalyapin, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Anton Chekhov, Maxim Gorky. Intercity trolleybus Simferopol – Alushta – Yalta is in the vicinity of Gurzuf.

Resort Foros is an urban settlement in Yalta Region of South Crimea near Cape of Sarych. Foros is the southernmost centre of Crimea and Ukraine. Today Foros offers rest for any taste and budget. Foros is a clean, quiet and tranquil place with modern well-developed tourism infrastructure. Subtropical Mediterranean climate with mild winters (average temperature of January is +4 +5 C), long and hot (not scorching) summers is a natural source of health for the tourists who come here for rest and recreation. Foros is a favorite resort of the government leaders with a number of modern villas built in late soviet period. Villa Zarya is situated in Foros. The villa is notable for being a place of confinement in 1991 during the Putch period for Mikhail Gorbachov, the first and the last president of the USSR. Another great attraction of Foros is the Church of St. Resurrection built on the rocky hill above Foros with a great view of resort and the seashore.

Yalta is a universally recognized resort of South Crimea and is an international sea port of South Crimea and Ukraine. Yalta resort is an administrative center of sustainable territory of Big Yalta in South Crimea, the territory is 70 km long. Subtropical climate of Yalta is featured by subtropical climate with mild and rainy winter, chilly spring and warm autumn. Average July temperature is + 24 Celsius degree. Average temperature of January is + 4 C degree. Snow cover is kept for only a few days per winter. Summer season starts in May and ends in September. The best weather is in September and in the beginning of October. Lots of greenery growing in moderate – subtropical climate looks like a green park with picturesque drops of white buildings. Among the plants of Yalta there are Crimea and Mediterranean pine trees, juniper, oak, beech, cornel, yew trees and exotics: cypress, magnolia, wisteria and fan palm trees. Yalta is one of cultural centers in Ukraine with numerous festivals and public events in summer. Yalta hosts cinema and theatre festivals, International TV and Cinema Forum, International Festival of classic music “Planet Stars”, festival “The sea of friends”,” Near the Black sea”, Barman Arts Freestyle festival, Crimea Music Fest. Yalta fireworks festival takes place in the second week of August, just before the City Day of Yalta. A wonderful combination of picturesque architecture with many buildings dated back to XIX – XX century and scenic mountain landscape make Yalta a nice place to visit. During Tsar’s time it was a favourite place for Russian nobility who went to Yalta after the Romanov’s family who had founded here royal summer houses in Oreanda and Livadia.
