Attractions in Sevastopol - Sheremetiyev’s Museum

The Sheremetiyev’s Museum is a private collection of historic unique finds. Museum exponents related to military history of Sevastopol, histry of the Crimean war, and the WWII.

There are two exposition galleries. The first exposition gallery was opened in 2008 in the Naval Museum Complex of Balaclava.
Located on the western side of Balaclava bay, in the premises of the former submarine plant, it is only 15 minutes walk from the center of Balaclava. 

The exhibits are genuine items of weaponry, armory, firearms, cold steel, military decorations, equipment, maps of the battles, uniform, personal belongings of military men, coins, utensils and etc.

During the Crimean war Balaclava was the camp site of British troops so it was intentionally chosen for the exposition.

The displays remind us of the times when the Charge of the Light Brigade took place in the Valley of Death. The notorious valley is located a mile north from Balaclava.

The exhibition will attract attention of all those who are interested in the Crimean war and military history.

The second exposition gallery is located in Mikhailovskaya Coastal Battery, on the north side of the city. You can reach it by public motorboat shuttling tvery half an hour from Artillery bay to Radiogorka.
